Many people, clans, programs, and even sites have come and gone in the long era of online Triple Triad. With the Brotherhood of SeeD recently collapsing, Avalanche is the sole survivor of TT.com clans that continue to excel amongst the many TTA clans. We have seen many things get old, monotonous, and lose their momentum after promising starts only to see them fall short of expectations. How do they do it?

How are you able to keep things fresh in a clan that has been around so long?

Constantly trying new things and keeping things that work fairly well while modifying things that do not work as well to make them better.

If it is that simple, why hasn’t anybody else figured this out? This is why I have placed leadership as the clan’s best attribute. Dalamar has been a recipient of the Clan Leader of the Year award and for good cause. There have been some valleys in the history of Avalanche much like anything else. The ability to make changes and turn the ship in a positive direction is what makes the difference. The clan has continued to move in a positive direction over the years, but that does not mean that they are quitting now that they are the reigning Clan Wars champions.

What goals do you have for the future?

Another Clan Wars win, a Clan of the Year award that Avalanche actually deserves, 1st place finishes in Clan Bash and Clan League.

There are a number of clans that never have and never will win Clan Wars. There is simply too much talent and competition to climb that ladder. However, Dalamar emphasizes the desire to continuously improve the clan and add to their list of achievements. Winning Clan Wars truly is a great honor and I can only imagine that the Zodiac Braves feel disheartened by not winning the title that they had dominated the previous two years. When talking with Dalamar, he is truly proud of this achievement.

Where would you rank winning Clan Wars on the list of Avalanche’s achievements?

I would rank it as the best of Avalanche’s achievements since I took over as leader.

The list is long for Avalanche’s success. But that does not mean that things have been great forever. For this clan’s biggest challenge, I noted their consistency as a challenge. Through TTA, there have been surges of great times, but some down times as well. Dalamar already mentioned that he felt Avalanche did not deserve their Clan of the Year honors two years ago. Avalanche had a fairly down year then so it is understandable why Dalamar feels this way. The clan had a major surge of recruitment and activity near the voting period for the award which gave them the big push to win. Seeing what Avalanche has done in the past year has been more remarkable than the previous year which should put them in line for a possible Clan of the Year award. The clan has multiple events going on all the time as well as a major presence in all the clan tournaments going on within TTA. Their collection of top-end talent players make them a very difficult group to contend with in any tournament. If they can maintain this, they should be the front-runners for Clan of the Year for 2007. Watch out, Triforce. It seems that there is yet another contender for you.
